Due to overwhelming growth of the campus, plans include constructing new buildings to expand programs.

Plans include the Replacement of campus buildings on campus-owned land across the street from the existing location.

The current facilities will go through a restoration process.

Louisiana Technical College, Huey P. Long Campus
– Winnfield, LA (Region 6)
The facility condition index is poor and the campus is faced with ADA issues that cannot be addressed through renovation. The current facility must be replaced and relocate at a more accessible location. The college currently owns land, and the new facility will be placed on this property.

The campus is experiencing ADA issues and an extremely high repair to replacement cost ratio. Plans are to repair and replace facilities using adjacent land owned by the college.

Louisiana Technical College, Northwest Campus
– Minden, LA (Region 7)
Plans include expanding campus in a location of higher visibility along I-20 which is more accessible to I-20 corridor on land recently purchased through donations of local business leaders and state funds.

Louisiana Technical College, Florida Parishes Campus
– Greensburg, LA (Region 9)
The campus was constructed in 1950, and is highest on the repair to replacement ratio. Plans include the acquisition of an eight-acre site and construction of up to 50,000 square feet and a 10,000 square feet covered outdoor work area.

L.E. Fletcher Technical Community College
– Houma, LA
The current facilities are not sufficient for growing enrollment. Fletcher is in need of facilities for high demand diesel marine/welding and water survival training. Plans include the construction of a 15,000 square feet classroom lab and office building along with a water survival training facility at LAMPI and the construction of a diesel marine/welding transportation bldg.

SOWELA Technical Community College
– Lake Charles, LA
Due to enrollment growth, the SOWELA campus needs to expand. Plans are to purchase adjacent land and to construct classroom and student facilities.

River Parishes Community College
– Sorrento, LA
RPCC is currently leasing land and facilities and needs additional facilities to address enrollment. Plans include the purchase of leased land and facilities plus additional available acreage with construction of additional facilities.

Plans include restoring the existing building which was damaged during Hurricane Katrina. This building is 187,190 square feet and was renovated 1989. The building is three floors and has both classroom space and offices.

Maritime & Industrial Training Center
(Delgado) Plans include moving this center which was damaged by Hurricane Katrina from the City Park campus to New Orleans East. The center is 36,150 square feet.

Learning Resources Center
(Delgado) The Learning Resources Center was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Plans are to demolish and rebuild the building which is 52,473 square feet and was built in 1954.

Louisiana Technical College, Sidney Collier Campus
– New Orleans, LA (Region 1)
During Hurricane Katrina, the Sidney Collier campus, was destroyed. The campus included 75,240 square feet on 6.5 acres; and ten buildings. Plans include relocating the campus and purchasing 10 acres for a new facility and constructing new buildings in New Orleans ($6,000,000) and buildings ($15,000,000).

Nunez Community College
– Chalmette, Louisiana (Total: $5,212,118)
Arts & Sciences Building (Nunez)
The Nunez Arts & Sciences Building was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Plans include restoring the building which was built in 2000. The 80,021 square feet building is three floors and serves as both classroom space and a resource center.

Allied Health Building (Nunez)
Plans include restoring this 20,100 square feet building that was damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The building was constructed in 1995 and includes classroom and laboratory space.

Physical Activity Center (Nunez)
This modern gymnasium is17,000 square feet and was built in 2005. Plans include restoring the building which was damaged by Hurricane Katrina.

This building serves as the administrative offices for Nunez Community College. The building is 13,000 square feet and was built in year 1987. Plans include adding a second floor to the existing structure.
