2013 Conference Recap and Videos

The 10th annual conference was held at the Baton Rouge River Center on March 13 - 15, 2013.  This yearly professional development opportunity, themed "Community and Technical Colleges: Agents of Change" had record attendance, with over 1,600 faculty, staff and administrators from Louisiana's 14 community and technical colleges.  The attendees gathered in the capital city to network with colleagues and attend over 90 professional development breakout sessions, all of which offered "something for everyone."   From beginning to end, through the plenary sessions, breakouts, and thematic productions, the conference empowered its attendees to become "Agents of Change" for their college, their community, and in their personal lives.

Featured speakers included Dr. Van Ton-Quinlivan, Vice Chancellor of Workforce and Economic Development of California’s Community Colleges, a recognized thought leader in the energy and utility industry on the issue of workforce development and Simon T. Bailey, President of the Brilliance Institute and dynamic motivational speaker.

The annual conference is supported by professional development funds from the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act Federal Grant. Additional resources are provided by sponsors and exhibitors through the LCTCS Foundation.
