LCTCS Welcomes New Executive Vice President
Today, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors approved the appointment of Dr. Monty E. Sullivan as the new LCTCS Executive Vice President. Sullivan's appointment is effective August 15, 2009. As the executive vice president Dr. Sullivan will be responsible for providing leadership in the areas of academic and student affairs programs, career and technical education, workforce development and training and oversight and direction of the Carl Perkins federal funds in support of the system's seven community colleges, two technical community colleges and eight technical college regions.
Today, the Louisiana Community and Technical College System Board of Supervisors announced its selection of Board officers for the 2009 - 2010 year, re-electing Stephen Smith of Shriever as Board chair, Vincent St. Blanc, III of Franklin as first vice chair and Michael Murphy of Bogalusa as second vice chair. Additionally, the board swore in two new student members, Brock Dubois and Jared Hauge, who currently serve as Student Government Association presidents at their respective campuses.
