Customized Training

Louisiana Contractor Accreditation Institute (LCAI) The Louisiana Contractor Accreditation Institute (LCAI), a partnership between the Louisiana Community & Technical College System (LCTCS), Louisiana Economic Development (LED), the Louisiana Small Business Development Centers, and the State Licensing Board for Contractors assists small and emerging construction businesses. The Institute is now accepting registrations for the course this Fall. Taught by industry leaders, participants will learn about construction management and how to prepare for the General Contractors State Licensing Exam.

LCAI will be held at the Louisiana Technical College – Baton Rouge campus and transmitted by compressed satellite video to locations in Alexandria, Hammond, Lafayette, Lake Charles, New Orleans, Shreveport, and West Monroe.

The course will include the following topics:

Bid processes, Contract management, Estimating, Equipment & business management, Scheduling, Occupational safety, Risk management, Financial management, Bonding/access to capital, Certifications, Entrepreneurship training, and Louisiana Contractor Licensing Exam Review.
