Stone, a retired teacher with the New Orleans Public School System served the district for 30-plus years.

“Supervisor Stone has brought a unique perspective to the role, scope, and vision of this board,” said Board Chairman Michael Murphy of Bogalusa.  “He has done an outstanding job of representing the people of our great state and we wish him the best of health and happiness and opportunities in the days ahead.”

LCTCS President Joe May added, “I have enjoyed working with Supervisor Stone.  Not only did he provide great insight into what we do and what we are about, he also made us stop and think about the impact our decisions would have on people, and that is a testament to his heart and character.”
