Louisiana's Community and Technical Colleges

Eclectic Products, Inc. (EPI), a manufacturing subsidiary of Willamette Valley Company located in Pineville, La., offers the most unique line of adhesives products for “do-it-yourselfers” and professionals that exists in today’s market. This unique product line is unparalleled in its adhesive capabilities and multi-purpose applications.

EPI is proud to offer products that do what they claim to do. Their products are sold in home improvement stores and retail outlets worldwide.

Since moving its manufacturing operations to Pineville in 1993, EPI has grown from one 40,000 square foot building to three buildings totaling 136,000 square feet. EPI currently has 88 employees with a payroll of more than $2 million.

In addition to offering excellent wages and benefits, EPI is committed to training its employees. EPI employees participated in a six month Operator Apprenticeship at the Alexandria main campus of Central Louisiana Technical Community College (CLTCC) to learn the basics of manufacturing; including tools and equipment used in manufacturing, automation, fabrication, process technology, and machining. The apprenticeship combined classroom instruction with on the job training under CLTCC’s Workforce Development Certification for Manufacturing program.

“Apprenticeships are good for both employees and employers,” said Bill Clark, chief operating officer of EPI. “Employees can earn wages while they work and receive useful training, both in class and on-the-job, primarily because the curriculum has been approved by the appropriate industry group.”

Thank you to Eclectic Products, Inc. for supporting our efforts to improve the quality of life of Louisiana residents through educational programming offered through our colleges.
