Louisiana's Community and Technical Colleges

"Student Success Stories"Asia Landry is a recent graduate of Nunez Community College where she earned an associate of applied science degree in teaching (grades 1-5).

“I like to build relationships with people, and at Nunez I was able to do that with my professors,” said Landry. “They got to know me, and I got to know them. It made me more comfortable asking questions and asking for help when I needed it.”

Shortly after graduation, she transferred to the University of New Orleans (UNO) and began her studies as an elementary education (grades 1-5) major.

Landry’s career goal is to become a teacher in a St. Bernard Parish public school after she earns her Bachelor of Science degree from UNO. In the future, she would like to earn a graduate degree in education and become a community college instructor.
