TRANSFER OPPORTUNITIES

The Transfer Degree Guarantee

The Louisiana Transfer Degree guarantees an easy transfer for students from one our colleges to any 4-year public university in Louisiana. Completion of the Association of Arts/Science Louisiana Transfer (AALT/ASLT) Degree guarantees that the student has met, in full, all lower division general education requirements at the receiving Louisiana public university. Graduates transferring with the transfer degree will have junior status.

According to the Southern Region Education Board, students who complete the Louisiana Transfer Degree will, on average, save approximately $6,000 in tuition and mandatory fees by completing their freshman and junior year at a community college.

The Louisiana Transfer Degree is offered by the following LCTCS colleges: Baton Rouge Community College, Bossier Parish Community College, Delgado Community College, Fletcher Technical Community College, Louisiana Delta Community College, Nunez Community College, River Parishes Community College, South Louisiana Community College, and SOWELA Technical Community College.
