LCTCS Announces 2019 Phi Theta Kappa Louisiana All-Academic Team

BATON ROUGE, LA. - The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) is pleased to announce the 2019 Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Louisiana All-Academic Team. The PTK All-Academic Team is comprised of 19 high-achieving students from the 12 community and technical colleges that make up the LCTCS. An awards ceremony will be held Friday, April 26th, at 11:00 A.M., at Juban's Creole Restaurant in Baton Rouge.

The All-Academic Team recognizes high academic achievement and civic excellence of students attending a community and technical college and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.

"Congratulations to the 2019 PTK All-Academic Team," said Monty Sullivan, LCTCS president. "These students represent the highest academic achievers at our institutions, and they are prepared academically and socially to either enter the workforce or transfer to a four-year university. We are pleased to honor them for their commitment and scholastic accomplishments."

Two Louisiana All-Academic Team members were recently named national scholarship winners by the PTK Honor Society and The Coca-Cola Foundation.
