Higher Louisiana

Louisiana’s community and technical colleges have been among the fastest growing in the country. In 2018, our colleges served more than 150,000 students and produced 24,135 graduates prepared for success in Louisiana’s economy. The LCTCS Foundation supports our colleges and advocates for their advancement. Our work ensures that Louisiana provides pathways to prosperity for it’s citizens and attracts business and industry because of its high-quality workforce. Our diverse initiatives have maintained one key theme: providing greater access to excellent higher education options for all of Louisiana’s citizens.

Growing Louisiana's Workforce

The LCTCS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations with a volunteer board that understands the mission of community and technical colleges. Our foundation board works to develop private resources through partnerships with local business and industry, philanthropic individuals, and other foundations. These resources provide additional student scholarships, program expansion, new facilities, professional development for faculty and staff, innovative teaching and learning, and a margin of excellence that traditional funding sources cannot fully provide. In order to fully meet the needs of our students, faculty, staff and our state in the coming years, developing private resources through our foundation is a key strategy.
