LCTCS is committed to providing an environment that is inclusive for all. With that in mind we are creating a systemwide diversity, equity, and inclusion task force with representation from our faculty, staff, and students. The task force is charged with developing meaningful, actionable, and measurable recommendations focused on diversity and inclusion for all. We as institutions of higher education have an obligation and responsibility to provide an environment inclusive for all!

Mission Statement

The Louisiana Community and Technical College System (LCTCS) is composed of individuals from different races, ethnicities, nationalities, socioeconomic statuses, religious backgrounds, genders, gender identities and expressions, and sexual orientations. Through data-driven recommendations, the Task Force on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion seeks to help facilitate the system's ongoing efforts to foster a culture of mutual respect for its students, faculty and staff; and to attract, retain, and promote employees from all backgrounds, perspectives, and abilities. The Task Force will work to enhance, improve and transform the academic and workplace experience within LCTCS.

Additionally, the Task Force shall work to enhance the core values of diversity, equity, and inclusion within LCTCS. These values should be incorporated into all aspects of work to also include advocacy for first generation and nontraditional populations, communications, and vendor selection.

Diversity Dashboard

The diversity dashboard is an important tool used by the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion task force to better understand the current environment across our colleges and establish baselines that we can track from start to finish.
